Amon's Sugar Shack has been locally and nationally recognized for excellence in the media. Featured twice in Southern Living magazine, Amon's has also consistently been selected by readers as Best Bakery in the Commonwealth Journal's Best of the Best contest. The Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce honored co-founder Rosemary Stephens with the Woman in Business Award in 2012.

Each October, a group of visual journalists — professionals and students — set up shop in a different community in Kentucky to document its life and culture in a way that is rarely attempted. They visited Somerset in 2011 and documented the story of our hometown bakery.
