I remember in 1977 and 1978, we would go out during 1st period from SHS to “sell’ ads for the yearbook. Of course, we always ended up at Amons Bakery for doughnuts and take orders back to our teachers. Yes, sometimes the principal, Jim Andy Sears, would show up and encourage us to get back to school but we would usually return around lunch time for a coney or hamburger and glass of milk! GREAT times and memories. Mr. and Ms. Stephens never met a stranger and treated us with respect and always a kind word!!
