When I was growing up each year I asked for a birthday cake from Amon’s (I am so old that it was called Pulaski Bakery then…..but it was Amon’s). On the Saturday before my birthday Mother and I would go see Amon and order my cake then we would go across the street to Woolworth’s for lunch.
Fast forward to now. Ever since I moved back to the area I have continued the tradition….in a way….. by having an Amon’s cupcake on my birthday. Here is my cupcake for today
