I went to high school at Somerset high school the year was 1951. Amons was downtown next to The Virginia theater during our school days we were allowed to leave for lunch. Some of my classmates and I would walk down from the school and stop at Holsomback’s for lunch then would stop by Amon’s to get a cream horn. We would do this five days a week up until graduation. I have been enjoying Amon’s for fifty years.
